SODAK CUP/USGA TEAM POINT STANDINGS

The 2012 USGA Men's State Team Championship will be held September 19-21 at Galloway National Golf Club in Galloway, New Jersey. Fifty percent of the points earned in 2011 will be added to 100 percent of the points earned in 2012 to determine the three representatives for the men's team from South Dakota.

The 2012 SoDak Cup will be held September 29-30 at Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton. The event pits ten of the top amateur golfers in the state against ten PGA professionals from SDGA member clubs. Points for the amateurs are awarded in the Two-Man, Men's Match Play, and Men's Amateur Championships.

College and high school male golfers earn points, however, they are not eligible to compete in the SoDak Cup or the USGA Men's Team Championship if their season is in progress. College and High School female golfers earn points; however, college players are not eligible to compete in the USGA Women's Team Championship if their season is in progress.

The 2013 USGA Women's State Team Championship will be held September 17-19 at NCR Country Club (the South Course) in Kettering, Ohio. Fifty percent of the points earned in 2012 will be added to 100 percent of the points earned in 2013 to determine the three representatives for the women's team from South Dakota.

Note:Results of scorecard playoffs in any championship are not factored into point totals. In the event of a tie, points are divided evenly. For example, players tying for fourth in the Amateur Championship each earn 65 points, regardless of the result of a scorecard playoff used to determine prize winners.
