It is with regret that we have to announce the cancellation of the 2023 SDGA Men’s & Women’s Amateur Championship. All options were considered in depth by the SDGA Staff and reviewed by the Association’s Board of Directors. We exhausted every available option that would have allowed us to complete 36 holes and retain the integrity of the event. Unfortunately, between course conditions, continuing rain, and course availability, there was not a viable option to complete the event within a reasonable time window. As we considered all options and wrestled with this decision, we consulted with the USGA and numerous other qualified tournament administrators for their input.
The SDGA will be issuing full refunds to all Amateur Championship participants, and we are working on a plan to award SoDak Cup points to participants based on participation in the event. Those who paid cart fees to Willow for rounds that they did not play can text 605-546-7775 and we will issue you a refund. Please leave your name and number of rounds that you need to be refunded.
