Jeff Meyerink from Mitchell defeated Chris Long from Garretson 3&2. Meyerink was 3 Up at the turn, but Long birdied 10 and 11 to draw within one. But two bogeys on 12 and 13 put Meyerink 3 up with 4 to play. Long drove the green on #15 but couldn't make a birdie, and after Meyerink rolled in a clutch 15 foot birdie putt on #16, Long could not convert his 10 footer for eagle and the match ended there.
Maggie Murphy from Sioux Falls birdied the first two holes to jump out to a lead over Katie Bartlett from Pierre that she never relinquished. Bartlett won #10 to get back to cut the lead to two, but back to back birdies again by Murphy on 11 and 12 put her up by four with six to play. Bartlett battled back with birdies on 15 and 16, and just missed her 8 footer for birdie on 17, leaving Murphy a 2&1 winner. Murphy, who played golf at O'Gorman HS and New Mexico State, and is now the Assistant Coach at SDSU, also won the Women's Match play in 2010.
Tyler Barrett from Sioux Falls defeated Blake Dornbusch of Sioux Falls 7&6 to add the Consolation title to his 2014 SDGA Match Play Championship.
Kyleigh Moran from Vermillion defeated Reese Jansa from Sioux Falls in 21 holes. Jansa won the last two holes to force the playoff, but Moran hit it to within inches for birdie on the third playoff hole to take the title.
