SDGA Match Play Format - 2025
The POD format for the SDGA Match Play has been a huge success, allowing us to expand the Championship to five divisions, expand fields, make qualifying accessible to more players, and provide greater value at the Championships. Here is what you need to know about the SDGA Match Play format.
Men’s Championship
- July 10-13 – Prairie Green Golf Course, Sioux Falls
- 64 Player Field
- Eight Local Qualifiers From June 13-28 – LAST CHANCE qualifier on July 9

Women’s Championship
- July 11-13 – Prairie Green Golf Course, Sioux Falls
- 32 Player Field
- First 30 to enter – LAST CHANCE qualifier on July 10 for final spots

Senior Men’s Championship
- July 11-13 – Central Valley Golf Course, Hartford

Senior Women’s Championship
- July 11-13 – Central Valley Golf Course, Hartford
- 16 Player Field
- First 15 to enter – LAST CHANCE qualifier on July 10 for final spot
- All Players advance from POD play to bracket play. Top two in each Pod play for Championship and 3rd and 4th place play in the Silver Bracket.

New for 2025!
- ALL – Brackets will be predetermined based on the overall seed given to players when the PODS are created. The bracket will be posted online and available on-site at the event.
- ALL – If two or more players are tied for first place in their POD, a sudden death playoff will decide which player advances to bracket play.
- Senior Men’s Championship – New Masters (65+) Division
- Senior Women’s Championship – New Silver Bracket in addition to Championship Bracket (all players advance to bracket play)
- Men’s and Women’s Championship – All Matches in Twosomes
