Tom Egan

Tom Egan became the 37th person inducted into the SDGA Hall of Fame. Tom was an original member of the SDGA Board of Directors, serving from 1971-1978 and was president in 1972. A former member of the board of directors at Elmwood Golf Course and Westward Ho Country Club, Tom was instrumental in bringing the 1996 USGA Girls Junior Championship to Westward Ho. He also served as the Executive Director of the SDGA in 1996-1997. As a player, Tom and his wife, Mary Ann, won the inaugural SDGA Husband and Wife Championship in 1975. Tom also won the 1984 Pre-Senior Championship and was second in the 1987 Senior Championship.
