South Dakota Golf Association Announces Board of Directors and Officers
At the annual meeting of the South Dakota Golf Association held in January 2026, the organization welcomed several new Board members and appointed new Officers.
Karla Cotton of Sioux Falls was elected as the SDGA Board President, Ryan Messick of Rapid City will serve as the new Vice-President, and Ben Irlbeck of Elk Point was appointed Treasurer.
New Directors elected to three-year terms include Natalie Young of Pierre and Chris Long of Presho. Directors re-elected to a second three-year term are Jeff Salter of Rapid City and Ben Irlbeck of Elk Point.
They will serve alongside past-President Bruce Ashland (Rapid City), Morgan Johnson (Watertown), Kelly Farrar (Rapid City), John Hime (Sioux Falls), Brandon Sigmund (Mitchell), Sam Olson (Sioux Falls), Josh Wendling (Jefferson), Ryan Trasamar (Sioux Falls), and Royaune Jasinski (Rapid City). Jason Crisp (Sioux Falls) continues his service as the PGA Advisor.
The SDGA extended its gratitude to outgoing Board members, Jackie Witlock of Aberdeen and Jim Lather of Sioux Falls, for their dedicated and long-standing service to the Association.
The mission of the SDGA is to support, preserve, and advance golf in South Dakota, encapsulated by the commitment to “Making South Dakota Golf Better.”
