Steve Pelzl

Steve Pelzl is a three-time winner in the Senior Two-Man Championship, pairing twice with Mike Brummer of Rapid City to claim the title and winning with Mark Jorgensen of Aberdeen in 2012. Pelzl has been a runner-up five times in the SDGA Men’s Senior Championship, as well as being a runner-up in both the Men’s Mid-Amateur and Men’s Amateur championships. On ten different occasions, he has reached the quarterfinals of the SDGA Match Play Championship. Pelzl has participated in the SoDak Cup five times, compiling an overall record of 7-6-0, and has been a contestant in the U.S. Senior Amateur Championship. In addition to his success on the state level, Pelzl has won the Dakota Open six times, the CC Lee City Championship seven times, been the low amateur at the Dakotas Tour Western Printing Pro-Am at Moccasin Creek CC eight times (including six consecutive years) and been the low amateur at the Dakotas Tour Watertown Pro-Am nine times.
